Rockefeller Foundation Website Redesign

Program Digital Project Manager, serving as primary liaison between the Foundation and the selected external agency across the full end-to-end redevelopment of RockefellerFoundation.org.

Key Outcome↑ Full end-to-end redevelopment of RockefellerFoundation.org delivered on time and within scope.

The Problem

The Rockefeller Foundation's website had been in place for years and no longer reflected the organization's modern ambitions. As the outward-facing digital front door for partners and the public, the site needed to balance the Foundation's deep historical legacy with a contemporary user experience that clearly communicated its current areas of focus. The redesign needed to work across a globally distributed organization with stakeholders at every level, from regional teams to executive leadership.

My Approach

My first responsibility was leading an RFP process to select the right external agency, evaluating proposals, conducting comparisons, and making recommendations to leadership. Once selected, I became the primary point of contact between the agency and the Foundation. I quickly immersed myself in the Foundation's mission, branding guidelines, and communication standards so I could effectively translate between both sides. I partnered with the Global Communications team as we reviewed wireframes and mockups, led the content strategy workstream, and built relationships across the Foundation to gather materials, secure licensed digital assets, and collect approvals from team leads up to executive management. I created project artifacts, managed the overall timeline, coordinated with global stakeholders, and handled executive escalations as they arose.

Results & Impact

RockefellerFoundation.org was delivered on time and within scope, a full redevelopment that balanced the Foundation's historical legacy with a modern digital experience. The project established new standards for cross-vendor collaboration and project governance within the Foundation's digital team.
